What a great time we had at the class' 65th birthday part!  The food was great, the venues comfortable, and the company warm. Thanks to all of you who helped plan and execute the events. I can't wait for our Fiftieth reunion. I hope you will invite the School Bored Four again; we really wanted to perform for you and had a couple of new, special songs for you. I received word this morning that our bass singer's mother did pass away on Sunday. I know we're all glad that he could be by her side at that time.  Best wishes to you all, till we meet again.

Wow!  What an awesome time at the 65th birthday party.  Good food, good fun and good fellowship.  Hear again and again that other classes simply do not have the gatherings that we do.  Sorry for each of you that missed out for whatever reason kept you away.  Know we are all busy people.

Thanks to all who did the hard work that went into planning such lovely event.  FYI when these events are announced the faster you make your reservations, the easier it is on the planning committe and the more likely we can get the venues, caterers and entertainment that we want.  Money has to be paid to lock in providers and locations and without enough reservations in a timely manner, plans have to be adjusted down to the amount of funds currently available.  Our planning committee works hard to shop around and get us the best while keeping costs to an affordable level for everyone.

One more thing, thanks to those who generously donated funds to keep the event possible when attenders were slow making reservations.

Love and prayers for all of you.  Looking forward to our 50th reunion.  Wouldn't miss it for the world.

Wow...Tom, Kim, all committee members and all who donated to our party.  Thank You!  You hosted an amazing weekend for our "65th Birthday Party".  I would rate it ....Out of the Park...Grand Slam Home Run.  How will we ever top this?  (maybe only Las Vegas)  Anyway Kim and Tom you must know you ARE the event planners until there is no one left to plan for.  How can any of us say Thank You enough!                                  As John Nicodemus stated..a lot of NHS alumni from different years are very envious of your class.  Maybe John was on to something.....a fund raiser for us.....sell honorary class memberships!  Anyway hugs and kisses to all party planners.

I tell all my friends and relatives about the wonderful talented people in my class!  You talented people just keep getting better and better each time we have a get together!  They are all envious of how close our class is.  I just love the fact that we get together every month and enjoy each other's company.  I can't wait to discuss our 65th birthday party!  Kim and Tom you did an outstanding job, again.  Kem and Connie you did an amazing job with the decorations.  Thank you to those of you who contributed monetarily.  Thank you to all of the rest of you who worked so hard to make this happen.  Thank you Johnnie for your speech.   Thank you all for your friendship!

Hey ALL -

I posted a "sample" of the 2 TRUTHS and 1 LIE game that was played at the Party on Sunday night (9/6) to our RAILER RUMBLINGS page. Everyone said they had a lot of fun with it, so I thought I would share some examples with everyone while we are waiting for pictures (please be patient) - besides my typing finger is tired!

More Later - and THANKS to ALL

Thanks, Tom for such a great slideshow!! That is the best song in the world to play in the background.

We are so blessed to have been a part of the Class of '68 and to have all these friends!!

I posted three pics I'd taken before I left. And I thought AK was the only place for beautiful sunsets.

'68ers,

Does anyone have any information about any of our NHS teachers who are still alive?  Any possibility of contact data?

I will be in Newton for Saturday's (Nov 14) breakfast at the Bread Basket - looking forward to seeing many of you.  I'll be there for a sale of ~50 of my mother's watercolor paintings on Nov 13.  The proceeds will benefit the Employee Scholarship Fund at Presbyterian Manor. Thanks to Connie Hale Rhodes who is helping with the set up.  Here's a link to an article in the Kansan. http://www.thekansan.com/article/20151105/NEWS/151109815/0/SEARCH
