Greetings: Here it is… another year gone bye-bye and gravity has taken another toll. The other day I was reading a book and thought “O’ my! Whos arms are these ~ When did “that” happen!” And then I looked into the mirror and thought the same thing about my neck! Holy-Moley! I can hardly recognize myself. But my brains still thinks I’m young and spry, even though my body says different.
Martin L. dubbed our 55th reunion “Getting Old is The Pits”. Well, he might be right, seems I’ve been discovering more and more of them on my body lately. LOL! Too much visual. Sorry!
Anyway, life is good, and I can’t complain.
I pray that my message finds you in joy and happiness…. I’d like to add in youthful wellness and health, but I think we’re all just about ready to get into same boat one way or another… Now, I don’t want to sound depressing, but hey! The upside is… If we’re all heading for the same boat, let’s just make it a cruise ship and celebrate and have fun. LOL!

I too was stunned at David’s passing, I had to reread posted information several times before comprehending that it was David. He attended our class Saturday monthly breakfast, where everyone receives a happy celebrated welcome. It's a place of laughter, sharing, teasing, and rebuilding friendships… Before leaving, I enjoyed giving David a hug that was always received with a surprised wide-eyed grin. We will miss him dearly. My kindest thoughts and prayers goes to his family and friends.
Dearest Classmates, we must not take friendships (close or across the miles) for granted, we must continue to greet one another with unconditional love filled with enthusiast joys of welcomes, you never know what the next day may bring. I am thankful for our class website and thank Lee and Martin for their continue updated support..
Blessing to you all..

Monica, you most likely looking as good as ever for your young birthday party. LOL! As for myself its hard to type at this time. I fell in the school bus stairwell last September that involved a massive Rt. shoulder surgery/bicep in Oct. I'm still sleeping in the recliner and therapy is much appreciated. During the fall I somehow did something to my right hand and its been giving me all sorts of trouble. Went to a hand/wrist specialist last week, but decided not to accept the 2 choices of shots or surgery... instead asking to allow more time to see if things improve, so far so good. I will be so thrilled to be able hold/eat with silverware again. Left handed is so sloppy and pathetic. Anyway don't mean to complain as that would be foolish.
Sending you my best of the best belated birthday blessing your way. Railer BD HUGS Connie

Love the photo, just perfect for a portrait painting. Connie
In school Betty and I shared a couple classes together. She was a quiet sweetie with a gentle smile, and if I could get her going, she would light up and be so funny and cute. However, back in those days I spent more time with my Wichita buddies than hometown classmates, so I missed the opportunity to really be a one-on-one friend with her, and that was to my own loss as Betty had a good heart and would have made a wonderful lifetime friend.
My prayers and condolences go out to her friends and family. May they find inner peace during this time of heart-felt loss, and may they find joy through all the love Betty freely gave to so many.
Sincerely, Connie Hale Rhodes
