Hey ALL - GREAT NEWS!!

ROGER MORTON has let us know that he and the SCHOOL BORED FOUR Barbershop Quartet will perform on Sunday (current plan)! This is great - both ROGER and wife TERRI have been involved in music competitions/harmonizing for years - and it will be terrific having "the boys" brighten up our Birthday Party. I know they have a ton of fun getting together - it should be a "hoot and a half" to have them at the Party.

STAN KOEHN plans to attend the B'DAY PARTY and would love to get together with other "musical" classmates for a "jam" session while back here for the event. IF you would like to take part just send me an email. I hope to hear from all those that would like to take part in the "jam session".

Just thought I would let everybody know I got home from rehab today.  I am still in pain but I am getting around pretty good. If I can get someon to take me I might go to the breakfast tomorrow.  Doc says I don't have to wear my brace anymore.  He took xrays and said everything looks great.  Thank you everyone for the visits, phone calls, and cards. I really appreciate them all! You are a special class of people!

I am sorry to pass along the news that Dorothy Legge died Monday, June 15th at Presbyterian Manor. Judy Legge Kelly, her daughter and our classmate, called me today and ask that I post on the website to let everyone know. I am attaching a link for your information.

We all can remember her smiling face, sincere and helpful attitude. Dorothy was a "fixture" on Main Street in Newton for several years and I'm sure she touched many of your lives in many different ways. She did a lot for the Newton community and was a wonderful merchant and person!  It was a pleasure to know her and I'm sure that Judy and Jacki would appreciate knowing that so many of us are thinking of them at this difficult time.

My favorite memories of the clothing store were the wood floors and vacuum-tubes from register to balcony office clerk, then with a ‘whiushshsh-thumb’ there was your change. Even though the store maintained its uniqueness throughout the years, I always missed the vac-tubes. My prayers and thoughts go to Judy and family. Connie

Thanks for sending the link to Jana's Caring Bridge site.  I have seen Jana several times when she and I were in Newton at Presbyterian Manor to visit our mothers.

I sincerely regret that I won't be able to make the 65th birthday party over Labor Day weekend.  Ordinarily I would be in Newton to see my mom on a holiday weekend, but this time I need to be at a party celebrating our son's wedding.  He will be married July 19 in San Diego with family attending.  Then we are hosting a celebration party for all their Wisconsin & Iowa friends and family on Saturday, Sept 5.

I'll try to make one of the Saturday breakfasts at the Bread Basket so see as many of you as I can.

I wanted to first thank everyone for all your texts, emails, and phone calls and prayers. This truly means alot knowing we have so many friends praying for mom and dad. 
**Dad, has a laceration in the back of his head, broke his C1 (but it is not a threat to his spine), fractured his clavicle and ribs in 6 places, and a punctured lung. The Dr said he may be able to move out of ICU today if all goes well

**Mom, has a small bleed on her brain that they are watching very carefully and we are hoping this afternoon she will be more responsive.

They will both be very sore but we thank God they are alive and getting better. I will try to keep updating every morning. Thanks again for all your support and continued prayers

Thanks Kim for the updated... I've heard a lot of different facts about the accident, but was hoping to hear from you. Something like this makes me stop and reevaluate blessings and freedoms to just do everyday events that can change in a blink of an eye. ... Prayers for family's on both sides. Keep us posted. Today's updates:

**Dad is about the same as yesterday other than he is not liking his new neck brace and is feeling a little more pain.

**Mom is the same as yesterday also and still in ICU. They are going to do a EEG and MRI today to find out why she's not responsive.

I will try to keep updating when we get information. Thanks again for all the prayers we truly appreciate them.
