Update on Sam: My son Sam completed his BFA in studio art last spring (2019) at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction CO. My sister Ann, class of '55, and I went to see his Senior Art Show. He had an amazing multi-media interactive installation. It was a great experience for a proud mom!

He's still in Grand Junction and works for Gaston Design which is internationally recognized for casting dinosaur bones for museums, individuals etc. (Sam is currently working on a print commissioned by Gaston.)

Recently Sam was commissioned to do a sculpture in memory of a very talented young artist with ties to the art department at Sam's school. I was able to be there when it was (permanently) installed outside the art building. Sam was so honored, I was so proud and, most importantly, the family was thrilled with Sam's work.

He's still a "starving artist" but he's certainly on the right path!!!

UPDATE on me. I've moved to Woodland Park, a small town in CO, where my sister also lives and where we are near our family cabins i Green Mountain Falls.

Hi Bette! I was just telling someone the other day about our bumping into each other at Sam’s high school. I’ve moved to Woodland Park outside of Colorado Springs. I’m spending the summer at our nearby family cabin (not winterized) in Green Mountain Falls. Much cooler up here! Hope all is well with you.
