Stunned indeed that OUR CLASS TOM COLLIER has passed... gulp.  Mary, wise Mary, my heart goes out to you. While Tom was at a happy place and with you, you have to carry on to return home. I will be thinking and praying for you until I see you. Tom will always be a favorite: so kind, quick, present, sweet, engaged, caring and so very bright. He shared so much of his time to create the bonds for our Class & to give us roots. He shared Mary as well !!!  Tom will be missed. I will always remember Tom and blessed for having gotten to spend time with him for over six decades.

I too was saddened and shocked to hear of Tom's passing. I always enjoyed the levity and creativity he brought to our class website. My thoughts are with Mary.  He will be missed.

I always have and always will think of Tom with a somewhat mischievous smile on his face. Although I am sad now I cannot think of him without a smile on my face.

Classmates,

Plans have been finalized for the celebration of Tom Collier's life. There will be a gathering on Sunday Feb. 25th from 1-4 pm at the American Legion in Newton. There will be no other services. If you have been to any of our class reunions then you know where the Legion is. Please don't wear black or a tie! Wear hawaiian shirts or something casual to honor Tom's wishes. This is a CELEBRATION!

In lieu of flowers please send donations to KPTS in order to continue their musical entertainment or to Newton Public Library which were Tom's two favorites.

Kim

Classmates...

I just placed Tom Collier in the "in Memory" page..  I am a little rusty at doing this as Tom took care of the web site.  He will be missed.

We had an awesome Celebration of Tom Collier's life today. While I did not do a count, I'm confident the attendance at one point was well over 100 including family, friends, and classmates. A number of those attending also shared memories during our open forum. Following the sharing, we gathered Class of 68 classmates and a few spouses for a group photo. Tom would have loved this......... we will miss him.

Will EGOS be meeting on Tuesday the week of the reunion?  I hope so.  I'm hoping to arrive on Monday night, and that would be a great start to the week.

Joleen and I were included in the picture, but did not help with the food.  The beautiful ladies, beside us in the picture, get all the credit!  Tom’s celebration was lovely and thank you to all involved.  A wonderful observance for a wonderful gentleman!
