School Story:

In Government, Mr. Triggs got so annoyed one day when he saw my desk in the middle of the aisle during class. I got reprimanded. Pointing at Bob Hurley in defense, I tried to explain he was responsible for it being there. Bob used his huge foot to push my desk around with me in it - a time waster to stay awake. I tried to prove to Triggs that Bob wouldn't let me move my desk, but he quickly released his foot and my desk slid right back. Minutes later after the lecture had resumed, he would pull me into the aisle again and I thought I was going to get detention! As a teacher myself, I can see why Mr. Triggs thought I was a pain, but sometimes I chuckle at the kid antics I see, because I remember...

Sorry, Carol. I don't get on fb very much and missed reading about Ron's unfortunate accident. I am so glad he is improving and you both can return home. Wow, you just never know what comes out of the blue like that. He might keep you busy at home and I bet you won't mind it a bit. Take care of both of yourselves.

I remember Betty from gym class, which is the only class I recall we took together. I totally agree she was nice, and her no nonsense times were what probably carried her through her duties for our country.  She seemed so capable in all the atheletic gym activities and I was in awe.  Praying for comfort for the family.

Although you did not mention what Stan is suffering from, it sounds like it is not good. I had limited contact with him in high school, but he saved my sanity in Art class. Dear Switlana, you have been so happpy as his wife, and I am praying for you throughout your days of anguish. Reenie

Happy Birthday, Barbara. It is probably warmer in Alaska than in Newton right now. Hope you are doing well. Is there another book in the works? BTW, your pics look exactly like you looked in high school.

Beginning of year at Northridge with theme being Under Construction, since we had a lot of mess that year as the new addition was built. Big machines, mud, and noise were featured while we studied. It was a little unnerving in class to feel the floor rumbling.

This was taken in 2008 with one of my 5th grade students. Her mother took the picture, since she had been one of my 4th grade students in 1974, and I had her son prior to this.

Hippies last Halloween at work, Northridge. The next two are also Halloween. Kind of makes you wonder if your kids ought to be at school.
