David E. Flory, age 76, was born to Gertrude and William Flory on March 27, 1950, in Ft. Collins, CO. He passed away July 30, 2026.

David graduated from Newton High School in 1968.

In 1972, he married Diane Bender. They had two children, Brian D. Flory and Kara D. Schroeder. 

In 1998, he married Kathryn J. Randol.

David was a switch man and brake man for B.N.S.F. Railroad his entire working career. He loved mowing grass and played the occasional game of cornhole.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and William Flory, wife, Kathryn J. Flory and brother, Richard Flory. 

David is survived by his children, Brian D. Flory of Silver Spring, MD, and Kara D. (Jerami) Schroeder of Newport, OR; stepchildren, Christopher D. (Stephania) Randol of Haysville, KS, and Shellie R. (Gerry) Boyles of Wichita, KS; brother, Bill Flory of Sioux City, IA; sister, Elaine Trigg of Kentucky; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

There will be no services at this time.
