Classmates...

I just placed Tom Collier in the "in Memory" page..  I am a little rusty at doing this as Tom took care of the web site.  He will be missed.

We had an awesome Celebration of Tom Collier's life today. While I did not do a count, I'm confident the attendance at one point was well over 100 including family, friends, and classmates. A number of those attending also shared memories during our open forum. Following the sharing, we gathered Class of 68 classmates and a few spouses for a group photo. Tom would have loved this......... we will miss him.

Will EGOS be meeting on Tuesday the week of the reunion?  I hope so.  I'm hoping to arrive on Monday night, and that would be a great start to the week.

Joleen and I were included in the picture, but did not help with the food.  The beautiful ladies, beside us in the picture, get all the credit!  Tom’s celebration was lovely and thank you to all involved.  A wonderful observance for a wonderful gentleman!

My mother, Iris Morton, fell at her home last Wednesday. She didn’t break any bones but she does have serious head injuries. She is in intensive care at Via Christi in Wichita.  The next few days will give us a better idea of the brain damage she may have. Your prayers are appreciated.

Roger, you are blessed to have this kind, sweet, smiling woman as your mom and I know the pain you feel to see her injured, especially as her body is already weakened with age. I pray for her physical comfort and rest as she navigates through the injuries from the fall. I pray for her spirit as she and all of you rest in knowing she is in the hands of God.

We will all miss Tom, his energy and enthusiasm for our class and the web page! We'll miss him especially at the reunion. Now our thoughts and prayers are for Mary and the challenges she will face.  How Tom would have loved being in that group picture and seeing so many old friends!

Thank you all for your prayers and concern. Mom is sleeping soundly and comfortably. It may be several more days before the swelling goes down enough to be able to assess her outcome. We children are doing fine and all needs our are taken care of. It’s nice to have a large family!

Mom passed away peacefully last Thursday night. Her head injury was just too severe. Mom was very active right until the moment of her accident and I’m glad that she was able to live without assistance in the house that she and dad built over forty years ago.

My family will be receiving friends at Petersen Funeral Hime from 6:00 to 8:00pm Monday night. The memorial service will be At Columbus Ave. Church of Christ at 2:00pm Tuesday, followed by a reception.

Thank you for your support this past week

Sincerely,

Roger
